Gippsland
Gippsland is one of those unique places where the landscape is so varied that options are endless. You could quite happily base yourself in Gippsland for a couple of weeks and not need to move on anywhere else.

For skiers and snow boarders there are several different grades of run and also a varied terrain that is ideal for both downhill skiers as well as cross country skiers. The beach is picture postcard perfect and is the ideal place to unwind. Ninety Mile Beach does not have the brash glitz and crowds of the likes of iconic Bondi, this is relaxation on a whole new level, where you can feel at one with nature and be amazed at the horizon of unbroken never ending sand! Soak up the rays or jump in a boat for an unforgettable encounter with dolphins and whale that frequent the area at different times of the year.
With rainforest and native Eucalypt forest, you will hear the plethora of different birdsong and spot some of Australia’s fantastic wildlife at close range. There are so many opportunities for walking, mountain biking, fishing, horse riding, camping or even taking scenic drives around the region.
As well as camping there are eco lodges available for those who like a little more luxury but not at the cost of the wonderful surrounds and the environment at large.
Or drive to the stunning lakes region of central Gippsland, taking in the local arts and crafts scene and contemplating life whilst soaking in the beautiful surrounds of the lakes and villages nestled amongst picturesque foothills.

Wineries
With a backdrop of gorgeous rolling hills and a fine variety of renowned cool climate wines, a visit to some of Gippsland’s wineries is a must. The wineries are predominantly family owned and with that comes a down to earth vibe with open cellar tastings and a keenness from the families to show you how they do what they do and the passion they do it with! You will not only leave with a greater appreciation of how grape gets to bottle, but you will undoubtedly leave with a crate or three of fine boutique pinots, cabernets, rieslings or sauvignon blancs!! These cool climate wines exhibit a strong spiciness and fruitiness that becomes a favourite of many. National Parks
